AMTRAN, the public transportation authority providing bus service in Altoona and Blair County, Pennsylvania, hired Clear View Strategies to provide technology planning, consulting and project management services. Clear View's primary responsibilities include conducting a business process review and technology needs assessment, developing a technology strategic plan and providing support and project management for the implementation of the strategic plan. In the initial phase of the 5-year AMTRAN IT project, we analyzed internal administrative and operational processes and the technology supporting those functions, and have provided recommendations that will enhance productivity. In the project's second phase we developed a plan for implementing ITS applications that will improve AMTRAN's operations and provide enhanced customer information and service. Clear View was responsible for developing procurement documents such as technical specifications, functionality matrices and requests for proposals for the recommended acquisitions. Clear View managed the installation and implementation of the ITS hardware and software which was completed in Summer 2009.
